کاهش حجم مثانه

با افزایش سن، حجم مثانه کاهش ‌یافته و ماهیچه‌های مربوط به آن ضعیف می‌شود که سبب بی‌اختیاری ادراری در سالمندان می‌شود.

 بی‌اختیاری اداراری یک اختلال شایع در سنین بالا می‌باشد اما معمولا افراد از گزارش آن شرم دارند.

 زنان به ویژه افرادی که زایمان‌های متعددی داشته‌اند در کنترل ادرار به خصوص هنگام سرفه، عطسه و حتی خندیدن مشکل دارند.

 این مشکل قابل حل است و برای برطرف شدن آن باید به پزشک مراجعه شود، توصیه میشود: 

 نوشیدن آب در طول روز به مقدار 6 تا 8 لیوان، اجتناب از نوشیدن آب بعد از ساعت 8 شب، پوشیدن لباس‌های آزاد و راحت، اجتناب از ورزش‌های سخت، تقویت مثانه، تقویت عضلات کف لگن و رفتن به توالت هر دو ساعت یک بار را از مواردی عنوان کرد که افراد مبتلا، باید به آن توجه خاصی داشته باشند.

 در زمان ادرار کردن، عضلات شکم را سفت کنید سپس به آرامی با دست زیر شکم را به سمت پایین فشار دهید این فشار به مثانه منتقل شده و به تخلیه ادرار کمک می‌کند.
